This is a brief history of how we came about. In late 2006 Alfa Leisure was going through tough times and was in the process of consolidating facilities, which consisted of closing its 5th wheel production plant. At that point all employees were either laid off or were placed into other areas that were in need of improvement. Richard Olivas and I (Jon Goldstein) were put in charge of a struggling service environment. Past customers were complaining about poor quality and horrible customer service; which is where Richard's and my expertise came into great demand.

Richard had been with Alfa leisure since 1983, and had worn almost every hat that Alfa Leisure had to offer, including production manager of our 5th wheel division. This made the foundation of a great leader, due to his ability to adapt to most situations encompassed during RV manufacturing. Richard's uncommon ability to adapt to almost any situation leaves our customers feeling at ease while their unit is in for service.

My background is mainly in quality control; I have been in the quality side of manufacturing since 2001. I was Quality Control Manager for a company that produced a specific line of orthopedic tools for Depuy, a branch of Johnson and Johnson. In 2006 I came into the RV industry as Quality Control Manager, and as a younger manager I was constantly thrown bombs by employees to test my, "thinking outside of the box" strategy. In less then a year I gained quite a bit of respect and was called upon to assist manufacturing when quality control became an issue. When I did not know the answer, I knew the person who did and I would dig deep to find out Cause and Effect. This is important when trying to improve anything, if you don't know why it happened you're leaving the probability of it arising again.

Despite the improvements Richard & I made to our (Alfa's) service department, the downturn in the economy was stronger than our ability to keep the door open. During the four months from 04/08 to 08/08 that Alfa was liquidating their assets Richard & I felt that the loss of Alfa is leaving a void for many of it's Alfa RV owner's. At which point, we came to one conclusion, "lets take them into our own back yard" and give them the same service that we had been offering at the Alfa Leisure plant, where we had customers driving from all over the country (as far as New York) to experience the difference we had to offer.

Today we employ a dedicated team of experts in Alfa Motor Homes operating out of a 15,000 square foot facility in Fontana, CA. Our team is there to provide you with the best possible customer experience for all your repair, maintenance and service requests.
